Sierra del Segura
Situated in this little known area of Spain, with its rugged mountains and valleys, dotted with small villages set amid pine woods and mountain streams.
The esturies of the rivers Segura, Taibilla and Mundo flow through to make the artificial lakes of Cenajo, Fuensanta, Talave and Novia la Vieja, ideal for fresh water fishing, canoeing/kayaking etc.
Surrounding the main town of Elche de la Sierra are the picturesque towns of Lietor, Ayna, Paterna de Madera, Rioper (source of the river Mundo), Molinicos, Yeste, Nerpio, and Letur.
Excellent access to the area from Hellin and the motorway Murcia - Madrid. 1 1/2 hours to Alicante Airport.
